Various times throughout the year, our VFW Auxiliary organizes local Red Cross Blood Drives. 

Each year we provide scholarships to both the Cannon Falls and Randolph High Schools.

We have a very active Color Guard Unit.

We march in the Memorial Day, 4th

of July and Deck the Falls Parades each year. We also present the colors during Flag Day and Veterans Day programs as well as all home football games in the fall.

Our VFW and Auxiliary distribute buddy poppies at various local businesses each May.  ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the donations collected through this program help local veterans and their families in need.

The VFW Auxiliary works with the Cannon Falls Schools each year to organize a coloring contest for grades K-3 and essay contest for grades 4-5. 

We typically have a great turnout.  It's so wonderful to see our community and youth involved.

National Post Outstanding Community Service Award

The Cannon Falls VFW Auxiliary hosts an annual garage sale during the Cannon Falls City-Wide garage sale.  We accept donated items the weekend before the sale.  We do not accept appliances, TV’s, computers, printers, or anything in non-working condition.

Our goal is to raise money for our community programs.

The VFW is a drop-off point for Toys For Tots each year.

The VFW and Auxiliary share a booth at each Cannon Falls Chamber of Commerce Fun Fest.  The fest is held the second Thursday of each month during the summer beginning at 4:30.

Each Friday we raffle Greg's Meat's meat packages and gift cards starting at 5:30.

Each Memorial Day, the VFW serves a free breakfast to any veteran or parade participant.  The breakfast runs from 7:00 to 9:00.  The parade begins downtown at 10:30 and ends at the Colville Memorial.

Our Canteen hosts a street party including hog roast and a band each year.

The VFW and Auxiliary host the annual membership social each fall at the Post Home.  This is a great opportunity to gather with other members.

Each year we have a "Breakfast With Santa" event where VFW and Auxiliary members bring their families for a free breakfast with Santa.
